Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks.
The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The Work
As a SR System Engineer on the A&D MBSE team you will be expected to work in an Agile environment with your peers to develop system architecture in the MBSE tool Cameo.
Additionally, you will be expected to decompose Prime Item Development Specification (PIDS) into system or product requirements and to develop Verification documentation for the GWS System.
You will coordinate your workday with lead engineers within program processes. Your participation in model team meetings is expected, including customer focused meetings / demonstrations.
