Senior IT Security Engineer
1 year contract
Brooklyn, NY - hybrid up to 5 days per month
- Manage security architecture and engineering integration for NG911 system.
- Perform cyber security and technical threat analysis for NG911 System.
- Evaluate security protocols for intrusion prevention using NIST 800-53 framework.
- Ensure security regulations and standards are being applied in the network system.
- Implement solutions for DNS, Email, remote access configuration, integration, performance monitoring, and security management on the Next Generation firewall 9-1-1 platforms.
- Implementation of Next Generation firewall platforms, host operating systems, applications such as LDAP and SMTP.
MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Note : Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
- Demonstrate a sound understanding in the implementation of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and OSI model; TCP / IP stack.
- Experience designing secure networks, systems and applications with a focus on security, performance and reliability.
- Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures.
- Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Minimum 12 yrs. experience in a technical and / or business application, product, platform, or methodology
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :
- Cybersecurity experience in a PSAC / PSAP environment working on NG911 systems
- One or more relevant information security and / or networking certifications such as : CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, PCNSE
- Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
