About the Team

Our sales and partner management teams are the heart and soul of DoorDash, helping us partner with top merchants (think restaurants, grocers, convenience stores, retailers) across the country to grow their revenue and help them operate even better.

As DoorDash grows both in scale and scope of offering, the strength of our sales engine and organizational structure must grow with it.

The International Sales S&O team focuses on the acquisition, retention and growth of SMB restaurants across Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

About the role

We're looking for a Manager on our International Sales Strategy & Operations team to drive business decisions and strategic initiatives across our SMB Post-Sale team in Canada.

You will combine business context and analytical skills to define and execute our overall go-to-market strategy, identify and implement efficiency improvements to optimize business impact, and drive tactical day-to-day operations.

You will work cross-functionally between our Sales, Merchant, Sales S&O, Finance and other internal teams to enable our Post-Sale team to provide a best-in-class experience to our merchants.

You will report to the Senior Manager of International Sales S&O. This role will start off as an individual contributor role, with a path to people management within 6 months.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • You solve problems from first principles. You're excited to solve problems in innovative ways, and you resist "this is how it's always been done" thinking.
  • You're equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're just as comfortable thinking long-term.

No job is beneath you.

  • You are an owner. You have a demonstrated success of owning and executing multi-stakeholder projects with strong bias for action
  • You're unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments
  • You're analytical. You let data win arguments, and you're comfortable pulling your own data in SQL or modeling in Excel.

We're excited about you because...

  • You have 6+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, banking, analytics or related experience with a track record of leading initiatives and hitting goals
  • You are a strong business thinker, able to use 'first principles' to solve challenging business problems at their root level
  • You are data-driven, able to analyze data with strong attention to detail and accuracy, and passionate about telling the story behind the numbers
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced, constantly changing team-oriented environment and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • You have experience leading projects, working in a team, and motivating people at all levels across a variety of job responsibilities;

people management experience preferred

  • You are well-versed in using data analysis tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and SQL
  • Presentation software like Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • Data visualization platforms like Tableau or Sigma
  • You have strong Sales acumen and understand key drivers of Sales performance
  • Bonus points if you've worked closely with Account Management or Customer Success teams!
