Job Description
A Payroll Assistant Director oversees the payroll department's daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves managing payroll accounting processes, including ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, as well as supporting internal and external audits. The Payroll Assistant Director responds to employee inquiries, assists with system upgrades and process improvements, and helps develop and implement payroll policies and procedures. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of payroll systems and regulations.
