About the College

The School of Public and International Affairs, in support of the Ohio Cyber Range Institute (OCRI), seeks a Cyber Program Coordinator to support the Ohio Persistent Cyber Improvement for Local Government Project (O-PCI).

The O-PCI hosts a cyber training and exercise platform and curriculum that is delivered across the State of Ohio for Local Governments to improve their cyber defenses and resiliency.

The Cyber Program Coordinator will report to the Associate Director, Ohio Cyber Persistent Improvement. OCRI is a cyber education, workforce and economic platform for the state of Ohio housed at the University of Cincinnati.

This OCRI-led project is funded by the State of Ohio through a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency State and Local Cyber Improvement Grant.

Job Overview

The Cyber Program Coordinator is responsible for shepherding local government entities and their participating staff through O-PCI's cyber defense and resiliency programming.

This is accomplished through supporting the administration and evaluation of the Ohio Persistent Cyber Improvement (O-PCI) ecosystem, as part of the Ohio Cyber Range Institute (OCRI).

This position will assist in the creation and implementation of operational plans that allow O-PCI to scale to support 2400 entities across Ohio.

Essential Functions

  • Manage relationships with local government and critical infrastructure officials.
  • Track and report on progress of O-PCI participants and their organizations through 3 levels of cybersecurity training.
  • Track and report on the evaluation and testing of cybersecurity skills, readiness, and resiliency within the O-PCI.
  • Support the development and improvement of O-PCI program structure and processes.
  • Coordinate with the O-PCI Educators and Exercise Team responsible for creating and delivering O-PCI education, training, and research.
  • Perform related duties required to achieve the goals of O-PCI. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and / or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in local, state, or federal government work environments.
  • Experience with information technology or cyber security related policy issues.
  • Experience in recruitment, sales, or public relations.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Office environment / no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
