About The Position
Job Title : Radiology Technician Job Specialty : Radiology Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Evening, Monday - Thursday, 11 : 00 AM - 9 : 30 PM Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA approved facility License : ARRT (R) required Certifications : BLS (AHA or ARC) required Must-Have : Availability for travel;
successful completion of a Radiology Technology Program Job Description : Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with minimal supervision under the direction of a Radiologist.
- Document patient history pertinent to specific procedures.- Confirm patient identification through verbal confirmation and proof of identity.
- Prepare and administer contrast media when required.- Consult with Radiologists and other physicians as needed.- Select and operate equipment based on the needs of individual procedures, demonstrating correct anatomical positioning skills.
- Maintain appropriate records as required by departmental standards.- Provide relief for the OR; work in main department completing portable, inpatient / outpatient exams and unfinished OR cases.
- Meet physical requirements such as assisting patients, handling equipment, frequent stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, or kneeling.
- Utilize strong oral and written communication skills for interaction with patients and staff.- Adapt to changes in temperature and humidity;
- work in various physical conditions like hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and near moving equipment. Note : Interview required;
travel positions available with potential for temp to perm conversion.
