Job Description
The Pharmacist is responsible for the preparation, dispensing, and appropriate use of medications. They play a critical role in patient care by providing medication management, counseling, and education to ensure safe and effective treatment regimens.
The Pharmacist will supervise the pharmacy technician, ensuring the highest quality standards of pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provides pharmacy services including stocking and controlling medications and filling prescriptions.
- Perform medication management by reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, ensuring accurate dispensing of medications.
- Provide patient counseling, information, and advice to patients regarding medications, including dosage, side effects, interactions, and potential risks and benefits.
- Monitor patient medication therapies for effectiveness and safety, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and pharmacy policies.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient care, making recommendations based on clinical judgments and medication management.
- Oversee inventory management and the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications and pharmacy supplies, managing inventory levels.
- Support health screenings as directed and within the scope of work.
- Offer ongoing education to patients and healthcare staff about medications and their appropriate use.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements / Certifications :
- Full unrestricted U.S. Pharmacy Licensure.
- Current BLS equivalent required
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Minimum 3 years’ recent experience including 6 months within the last year.
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required :
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
Physical Requirements :
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
- May require bending, stooping, and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications :
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 6 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically an MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.

Compensation : MIN : $135,000 : MAX : $178,000
The pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
