Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer who is passionate about advancing autonomy and real-time maritime communication technology to build the central nervous system for maritime autonomy.

This is a unique opportunity to be a core part of their founding team in Hawthorne California, shaping the product and technology from the ground up.

Their main engineering challenge is to develop a real-time data platform that can ingest, process, store, and analyze data from thousands of autonomous and semi-autonomous marine systems.

This system must be built to seamlessly handle a wide variety of sensors, hardware interfaces, data sources, and AI-driven analytics, all with military-grade security and robustness.

In This Role :

• You will set the standard for hardware design in maritime autonomous systems.
• You will tackle complex engineering challenges related to electronics, from concept through to production.
• You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including software engineers and autonomy experts, to develop and refine their technology.

Responsibilities :

• Design and develop advanced hardware solutions, including PCB layouts and embedded systems, for autonomous marine applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware with their real-time data platform and ensure seamless operation.
• Lead the development of hardware prototypes, perform testing, and refine designs based on performance and feedback.
• Drive technical decisions related to hardware design and contribute to the evolution of their technology stack.
• Ensure that all hardware meets military-grade standards for reliability and security.
