OCCUPATIONALTHERAPIST
Duties :
Perform initial and ongoingphysical therapy evaluations according to AOTA standards ofpractice as well as statestandards.
- Develop Plan of Treatmentfor each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations includingshort and longterm goals collaboration demands of other staffmembers and required patient and caregiverinvolvement.
- Implement Plan of Treatment on aconsistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan according topatient progress.
- Document patient progressaccording to approved medical documentation and facilitydocumentation procedures.
- Evaluate mobilitystrength and current level of patient function while setting goalsto improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities andrealistically attainable.
- Report patientprogress to patient patient caregivers and loved ones facilitystaff and healthcare professionals involved in ongoingtreatment / care of patients.
- Develop a plan forpatients following completion of their Plan of Treatment withappropriate inhome care services.
- Maintainprofessional and technical knowledge through attending educationalworkshops reviewing professional publicationsetc.
- Assist other facility staff members asneeded to provide care and create a clean orderly and effectiveenvironment for rehabilitation and physicaltherapy.
- All notes must be completed within 24hours following the patient s treatment session.
- Assist with supervision of PTA Rehab aidesstudents and / orvolunteers.
