Position Summary

Located in southeast Missouri, Bloomfield is a small town with rich history, and we are proud to call it home to one of our litter factories since 1976. Our factory in Bloomfield was the first to produce Lightweight litter, a product that weighs half the amount of conventional litter, revolutionizing the pet care industry. An innovative feature of this factory is an overhead bridge that allows full pallets of finished products to be conveyed to the distribution center just north of the factory. This innovation, along with others, played a significant role in Nestle Purina earning the Malcolm Baldrige Award, the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive. Our factory also works to do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal. In 2020, our Bloomfield factory underwent a 110,000-square-foot expansion in processing and packaging, thanks to a $115 million investment. This expansion allowed Nestle Purina to meet the growing demand from cat owners. With short commutes to St. Louis, Kansas City, and the Lake of the Ozarks, we enjoy day trips to popular attractions nearby and take pride in the great schools, local businesses, and tight-knit community that Bloomfield has to offer.

As a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, come prepared to manage performance data, processes, and routines. Youll assist with training, coaching, and assessing the data health of the facility and support continuous improvement activities. By using data to assist in identifying opportunities, youll help us improve facility performance and processes. Join our team and drive a culture of standards while performing industrial performance responsibilities.

Gather data and analyze reports, including stoppage analysis and other production line data

Manage industrial performance activities in the facility, including Nestle Manufacturing Performance Metrics

Collaborate across value streams and provide coaching to ensure overall data health within the facility

Provide strong data visualization support to drive Manufacturing Excellence activities and communicate across the teams effectively

Implement and promote Focused Improvement methodologies within the facility, leading and supporting Focused Improvement projects within the facility and sponsor IWGs within the facility

Requirements

Bachelors degree and 2+ years of continuous improvement, process improvement, or coaching and developing in a manufacturing, military, or related environment

OR

High school diploma with 5+ years of continuous improvement, process improvement, or coaching and developing in a manufacturing, military, or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $66,000 - $90,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
