Description
Position Summary : Responsible for all aspects of court mandated reporting, maintaining court calendar and performing various paralegal responsibilities and duties for the Community Guardian Program department.
Principal Responsibilities :
- Oversees process of new client procedures ensuring that all steps are handled promptly.
- Oversees updating and maintenance of bond information, order and cancels bonds.
- Coordinates and troubleshoots client discharge process.
- Prepares or assigns preparation of initial, annual and final accounts. Coordinates and monitors work flow for annual accounts.
Coordinates and monitors submission of testimonies for court attorneys.
- Maintains court calendar for the department.
- Monitors assignment of cases to attorneys. Notify responsible parties prior to court dates.
- Obtains commissions and court certification of documents as needed.
- Orders or obtains client death certificates. Prepares Notice of Death for Public Administrators.
- Prepares legal briefs for new incoming cases for staff attorneys as needed.
- Conducts courthouse filings, mail service and affidavit process servings.
- Adhere to organization’s standards by completing annual mandatory trainings in a timely manner on topics including but not limited to Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, IT Security Awareness, Compliance, OSHA, HIPAA and any other training the organization may deem necessary in regards to regulatory compliance or good business practices.
- Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance.
Salary Ranges : $55,000 - $62,400 per year commensurate with experience.
Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications :
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 6 months to 1 year relevant experience
- Computer literate
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to multi-task and work independently with a great attention to detail
Working Conditions / Physical Demand :
- Business Office Environment with phone and computer use.
- Ability to attend meetings and training outside of office environment.
- Ability to travel to in the field.
