Pride Health is hiring a Float phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Amarillo, TX 79106 Amarillo area float Phlebotomist, the furthest they would float is 30 miles from Amarillo.

Location : Amarillo, TX 79106 Amarillo area float Phlebotomist, the furthest they would float is 30 miles from Amarillo.
Job Type : 3 months - W2 contract - with possible extension
Schedule : Mon Fri. 8 : 00am
5pm.
Pay Range : $18-$21 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)
Responsibilities :
Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex.
urine or fecal) as required.
Demonstrate technique / s using straight needles and / or butterfly needles.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Package specimens for transport.
Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container / tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum 2yrs of phlebotomy experience is required .
Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
