No experience No problem! As an Apprentice, we will teach you how to deliver and install appliances to our valued customers.

If you have a basic understanding of hand / power tools or machinery, we can train you as our next Installer / Driver Apprentice .

In this key role, you will be the face of Gerrit’s Appliance and part of our appliance delivery and installation team at our Wyoming location.

Gerrit's Appliance is a local, family-owned business who takes pride in offering great value and service to our customers for the past 72 years! With two locations in the Grand Rapids area, we offer the largest and latest selections of appliances and grills in the area.

Most importantly, we provide full delivery, professional installation services, and manage our own in-house parts and service departments.

Installer / Driver Wages : Experienced - $19-$20 / hour; Entry-Level - Up to $17 / hour

As an Installer / Driver , some of your responsibilities will include :

• Work as a team sharing equal parts of the workload
• Safely deliver appliances and load / unload trucks
• Respect, protect and thoroughly clean up customer homes
• Remove old appliance(s)
• Move appliances into homes with superior care and unpackage appliances
• Hook up appliances to water lines, gas lines, venting material, and / or electrical connections
• Maintain vehicle, supplies and tools, keeping clean, organized, and secure at all times

Gerrit’s looks for Installers / Drivers who have the following :

• High School Graduate and at least 18 years old
• Knowledge and experience using hand and power tools
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Exceptional customer service skills and friendly personality
• Excellent safety record as well as the commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to move into tight spaces and up and down stairways
• Ability to lift, push, pull and / or carry 100 pounds
• Ability to exercise sound judgement skills and solve problems
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and enjoy working with people
• Chauffeur / CDL License preferred
