The Sales Manager at Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach A DoubleTree by Hilton , willprospect, book, and manage group business for our newly renovated hotel.

The ideal candidate will be a polished team player with at least 1 year of hotel Group Sales experience who enjoys building and maintaining customer relationships.

We are looking for someone with a proactive, can-do attitude, and superior written and verbal communication skills. We are a collaborative Team looking for a self-motivated person to join us and grow their career with Hilton.

This iconic 296 guest room resort property is located on Fort Lauderdale Beach, ½ mile south of East Las Olas Boulevard.

We offer an oasis of natural beauty for premier meetings, conferences, and special events framed by the crystal-blue Atlantic Ocean and scenic inland waterways.

The property has 28,000 sq. ft. of event space which easily accommodates events of all sizes. Come, join our TEAM!

Requirements :

1+ year of hotel group sales experience

Excellent communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Assets : Hilton experience

Hilton experience

Delphi / FDC experience

What will I be doing?

Increase qualified group booking volume by developing key relationships with new accounts and growing production with assigned existing accounts.

Essential Job Functions :

• Respond to sales inquiries from potential customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.
• Methodically solicit potential clients for future business on an on-going basis.
• Establish and maintain visibility with accounts.
• Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and analyze lost business.
• Plan and execute site inspections as required.
• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual group sales goals.
• Conduct outside sales calls and polished presentations to local companies and schools.
• Entertain potential and existing clientele to develop and maintain relationships.

• Communicate clearly and accurately (verbally or non-verbally) in a pleasant manner.
• Show competence by completing job responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
• Demonstrate an ability to follow a prescribed sequence of service with each encounter.
• Take initiative, be willing to assume responsibility for exceeding guests’ expectations.
