About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Medical-Surgical Job Duration : 13-week assignment Shift : 19 : 00-07 : 00 Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience License : RN License Certifications : BLS Must-Have : - Time Management and Efficiency- Teamwork Job Description : - Work in a fast-paced unit with short length of stay- Support maintenance of post-operative surgical procedure sites- Carry out wound care including packing, dressing changes, and wound vac maintenance- Provide Foley Catheter care, including continuous bladder irrigation- Change and maintain ostomy appliances- Insert and manage nasogastric tubes for suction- Administer total parenteral nutrition (TPN)- Administer blood and manage central line care including dressing changes- Conduct bedside shift reports- Exhibit an outgoing and customer-service-oriented personality- Float to medical-surgical units as needed- Adhere to dress code : scrubs in black, grey, white, or royal blue- Maintain prompt attendance, open communication, professional appearance, and responsiveness to patient needs Preferred Skills : - Background in post-operative surgical areas such as vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, colorectal surgery, and general surgery.
