This position offers hands-on experience in an industrial work environment performing mechanical, thermal and metallography testing.

Some the responsibilities include : Performing standard ASTM Charpy, tensile, fatigue, fracture mechanics, hardness, dynamic modulus, specific heat, thermal diffusivity and thermal expansion testing and non-standard testing supporting research of material performance in a laboratory environment.

Performing specimen preparation, data collection and analysis, and detailed report generation. Supporting design, operation, modification and maintenance of equipment and data acquisition systems.

Troubleshooting of test setup and equipment hardware and software. Communication with external vendors to resolve issues will be required.

Preparing work instructions and procedures.
