Travel Nurse (RN) - ICU (Intensive Care Unit) - Chesapeake, Virginia

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - ICU 48's

Shift : Nights / 7p-7 : 30a, 12x4, 48hrs per week, Will also consider 36's, EOW, Weekdays, Holidays within contract

Length : 13 Weeks with possible extension

Requirements :

• VA / Compact License in hand
• 3 years CC experience preferred (will consider strong candidates without 3 years)
• Must have strong Neuro experience (post brain surgery, EVD exp / ventriculostomy)
• IV start, Telemetry, PA (Swan-Ganz) Lines, Conscious Sedation skills
• AHA ACLS
• AHA BLS
• NIHSS
• Must be Epic proficient
• Travel experience preferred

ICU RN needed, 13 weeks with possible extension

MUST HAVE STRONG NEURO EXP

3x12 OR 4x12 (OT billed after 48 on 4x12),

Nights 7pm-7 : 30am, weekdays, EOW, Float, Holidays within contract

48 hour contract with OT after 48 available - PLEASE INDICATE CANDIDATE PREFERENCE

BLS, ACLS required via American Heart Association; NIHSS required

Must be willing to float to ED / Med Surg to care for ICU patients being held

Skills required : vents, IV start, Telemetry, PA (Swan-Ganz) Lines, Conscious Sedation,

strong neuro experience required (post brain surgery, EVD exp / ventriculostomy)

Ratios - 1 : 2-3

3 years CC experience preferred (will consider strong candidates without 3 years) travel experience preferred

Must be EPIC proficient, no exceptions

Local Rules : No RN candidates will be accepted if they reside less than 50 miles from facility.

Intensive care unit travel nurse jobs, otherwise known as critical care unit (CCU) travel nurse jobs, specialize in providing care to the most acutely ill patients in the hospital.

An ICU travel nurse might work in ICU burn unit, abdominal transplant acute care, neuro ICU, post-op, surgical ICU (SICU), trauma ICU or cardiovascular ICU (CVICU).

Critical care nurses may also care for age-specific patients in the pediatric ICU (PICU) or neonatal ICU (NICU).
