Chemical QC Lab Technician – Baton Rouge, LA

Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Lab Technician for a chemical company in Baton Rouge, LA. The overall responsibility of the position is to conduct laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and final products to ensure that they are within quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of samples per standard operating procedures to determine product quality
• Primary analytical techniques include HPLC, GC, and Karl Fischer
• Inputting of analytical results into SAP
• Review analytical data with the team and provide input or guidance on next steps for out of conformance results
• Calibration, maintenance, and repair of analytical instruments Requirements
• BS degree in Chemistry or related discipline
• 2+ years of industry lab experience is preferred, but fresh graduates will be considered
• Experience conducting laboratory tests using GC, Karl Fischer, and HPLC would be a plus
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• TWIC certification or ability to acquire certification is required This is a temp to hire position and the work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 : 30am-3 : 00pm.
