Job Description
Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Design Research Analyst (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to :
- Conduct various types of primary and secondary user research, including generative, iterative, and summative.
- Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research.
- Perform heuristic reviews.
- Assist with survey creation. Create and lead design thinking workshops.
- Facilitate user interviews, usability testing, and RITE testing.
- Utilize remote research tools.
- Synthesize data to create top quality deliverables.
- Summarize research findings and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Present and speak on research findings to stakeholders.
- Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
- This position will support research for Visa Government Solutions (VGS). As one of the business units under Visa's Commercial and Money Movement Solutions, VGS is responsible for creating and designing digital payment solutions for governments around the world.
- Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
- Employer will accept a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, Anthropology, Psychology or related field, and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a design research analyst-related occupation.
- Designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Analyzing and interpreting complex data to provide insights on user behaviors, needs, and motivations such as affinity mapping and other synthesis techniques.
- Communicating technical and non-technical findings and insights to different stakeholders to drive decision-making based on user research.
- Liaising with product stakeholders to pinpoint research needs, co-devise research strategy, and prepare relevant research assets.
- Understanding and applying Human-Centered Design principles.
- Identifying, analyzing, and solving complex problems related to user experience and product design.
Additional Information
Worksite : Austin, TX
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements : This position does not require travel.
Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $102,300.00 USD to $158,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).
Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
