Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist
Location : Snellville, Georgia
Overview :
Snellville Public Schools invites applications for the position of Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLP will play a critical role in supporting students with speech, language, munication, and swallowing disorders, fostering their academic and social success.
We seek an innovative and passionate professional who can design and implement effective therapy programs tailored to each students individual needs.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough evaluations to identify and diagnose speech, language, munication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and execute individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings and student needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students in both individual and group formats.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to facilitate the integration of therapy goals within the educational setting.
- Maintain detailed records of student assessments, progress notes, and therapy sessions.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to contribute to the development of student-specific goals and objectives.
- Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students requiring speech-language services.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements and research in speech-language pathology.
- Offer training and support to school personnel and parents to enhance students munication skills.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Valid Georgia state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Professional Standards mission (PSC) Certification in Speech-Language Pathology for the state of Georgia.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Excellent munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Required Licensure and Certifications :
- State Licensure : Must have a valid Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Georgia Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Professional Certification : Must hold the Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Educator Certification : Must have a valid Speech and Language Pathology Service (S-5) Certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards mission (PSC).
