Position Overview :

SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job)

Capital Health Medical Group Endocrine Specialist provides care for patients with metabolic disorders, diabetes, and thyroid dysfunction in an outpatient setting while working with an experienced team.

Education : Medical school

Medical school

Experience :

Residency in internal medicine

Other Credentials :

  • Eligible to obtain licensure in New Jersey and Pennsylvania
  • Board Certified or Board eligible

Knowledge and Skills :

Special Training : Fellowship in Endocrinology

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze, examine, and investigate patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalance.
  • Advise, order, and perform tests and interpret the results including discussing diagnoses with patients.
  • Explain treatment options, and give advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures.
  • Provide care for new and follow-up patients, monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans and medications, and update patient records.
  • Providers are expected to remain up-to-date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology.
  • The role does require physicians to handle basic administrative, clerical, and business tasks, such as filing, answering phones, or data entry.
  • When on call, the physician will provide inpatient consultations at both Capital Health medical campuses.
  • Physicians will provide care at the Capital Health Medical Clinic in Trenton and in the Forensic Unit at Regional Medical Center.

Frequent physical demands include : Sitting, Talking or Hearing.

Occasional physical demands include : Standing, Walking, Carrying objects, Pushing / Pulling, Twisting, Bending, Reaching forward, Reaching overhead, Squatting / kneeling / crawling, Wrist position deviation, Pinching / fine motor activities, Keyboard use / repetitive motion.

Continuous physical demands include :

  • Lifting Floor to Waist : 15 lbs.
  • Lifting Waist Level and Above : 10 lbs.

Sensory Requirements include : Accurate Near Vision, Accurate Far Vision, Accurate Color Discrimination, Accurate Depth Perception, Anticipated Hearing.

Anticipated Occupational Exposure Risks Include : Uneven Surfaces or Elevations.

Offers are contingent upon successful completion of our onboarding process and pre-employment physical. Capital Health will require all applicants (including contractors, travelers, and consultants) to have an annual flu vaccine prior to start date, with the exception of individuals with medical and religious exemptions.
