In this position you will provide administrative support to the chair and faculty of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Your overall support will include but is not limited to :
This is a partial list of your responsibilities :
- Assist department faculty.
- Serve as department administrative assistant for the chair of pharmaceutical sciences.
- Assist in communications
- Support department meetings and group meetings by the pharmacology and pharmaceutics teams, including sharing agendas and taking minutes.
- Coordinate the onboarding of student trainees in the department including lab access, laboratory safety training with the coordinator in biology department and chair of the department for the physical laboratory spaces.
- Assist department faculty in a variety of administrative needs.
- Maintain out-of-office records and department calendar of members of the department.
- Coordinate room reservations for department meetings and school meetings which are led by departmental faculty.
- Cross-train and fill in for PPA departmental administrative assistant in their absence.
- Maintain and update the department budget including expenses, revenue, and purchases in the financial systems and ensure approval of reports by the chair.
Additional Duties :
Assist office of assessment up to 18% of staff time, including staff support of assessment committee.
Assists with Immersion Laboratory activities and preparation.
Assists Deans Office (Board Review Week, Commencement, Pharmacy Month, Orientation (P-Zero swag)- Ordering / Set Up / Clean Up Meals, including white coat as needed.

Technical :
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated competence with common computer office programs (esp. Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google and other shared cloud / internet tools)
- Demonstrated ability to learn new computer-based applications (e.g. Brightspace) promptly.
- Prior working knowledge of basic office / teaching machinery (e.g. copiers / printers, scanners, projectors).
