About the position : Thisis an amazing opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to serve asa member of a high performing dynamic executive leadership teamwithin an outstanding organization at a key time in its history andto impact the future of this vibrant healthcare and senior livingorganization and the communities it serves.
TheChief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of our clientsleadership team and reports directly to the President / CEO.
The CFOis responsible for the development interpretation coordination andadministration of policies for financial management includingplanning budgeting capital formation risk management andoperations.
TheCFO directs strategic and operational financial planning budgetingprocess accounting and finance practices financial risk assessmentforecasting and variance analysis;
and is in charge of formulatingnegotiating and executing parent and project level bond and bankfinancing as well as any acquisitions partnering or merger events.
In this role the CFO works closely with the organization sinvestment bankers capital sources and outside attorneys inaddition to personnel.
TheCFO leads the development and implementation of financial reportingand analysis ensuring that policies and procedures are consistentand in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles andin compliance with all regulatory requirements.
He / she deliverstimely accurate and reliable financial information to decisionmakers through efficient and effective financial systems andbusiness processes fosters effective stewardship of the financefunction and safeguards fiscal integrity through effective internalcontrols.
Requirements
- Masters degree in business administration finance or related field.
- CertifiedPublic Accountant is desirable but notrequired.
- Thisposition requires 15 years of experience with 10 in a leadershiprole in financial management likely gained within a within ahealthcare provider organization / health system (i.
e. acute carepostacute care long term care LTAC home health).
- Experiencewith affordable housing is desirable given servicelines.
- Provenexperience building an outstanding finance function and team aswell as helping to instill tools processes and culture supportingsystemwide integration and accountable financial stewardship.
- Strongknowledge of financial accounting auditing methods and financialsystems management.
- Knowledgeand experience in treasury and capital market activities includingdebt issuance banking relationships and rating agency interactions.
- Trackrecord in healthcare finance including hospital reimbursement (i.e.Medicaid Medicare Medicare Advantage Commercial) revenue cyclemanagement managed care contracting financial planning and analysisoperational finance and compliance is strongly preferred.
- Seniorleadership experience in multisite organization with diversebusiness lines is stronglypreferred.
- Musthave experience partnering with a nonprofit Board and presentingcomplex financial information at an executive level.
- Priorexperience in an academic medical and / or research setting isdesirable.
- Candidatesfrom either forprofit or nonprofit environments are encouraged toapply.
- Musthave a strong command of financial principles and experience withindiverse complex organizations.
