Job Overview

As an Administrative Assistant on our team, you would be responsible for handling administrative functions for Unit Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the dept.

Opportunity to work from home. On rare occasion may be asked to travel into local Orlando office to assist as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Advanced administrative functions to support Unit manager
  • Set up, maintain, and update system reports in Excel and Word as required by the client on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate and set up client meetings / visits; set up interviews with job applicants
  • Handle any travel arrangements / organization / coordination as necessary
  • Maintain calendars, set up meetings & teleconferences
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for various meetings; prepare orientation binders for new staff members
  • Handle correspondence, memos, spreadsheets, scheduling, follow-up diary, filing
  • Perform duties requiring a high level of confidentiality and tact at all times
  • Assist with other administrative duties, special projects, etc., as assigned by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

  • High school diploma; excellent office administrative training
  • Proficient in Microsoft software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio advanced level
  • Excellent typing / PC skills (60+wpm)
  • Proficient at business letter composition, grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.

  • Organized, motivated, detail orientated, self-starter, sensible with good judgment.
  • Professional appearance; effective communicator.
  • Able to work effectively in fast paced environment.
  • Team player, flexible and easy-going. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a home-based, full time, hourly, non-exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
