Job Summary
- Direct Services to Student
- Provide nursing assessment and intervention.
- Follow-up of noted problems or situations.
- Administer medication and provide instruction as needed.
- Provide nursing support and communications for total well being of the student.
- Accompany child on bus when appropriate.
- Complete Accident Report when appropriate.
- Be aware of and be able to carry out emergency health care plans.
- Maintain a log of nursing procedures performed at school.
- Communicate student's daily health and educational experiences to the parents as appropriate.
- Assist in setting up classroom for student's needs with direction from the teacher / support facilitator.
- Provide meaningful input into development of goals.
- Assist with implementation of educational goals for assigned students.
- Support other students in classroom when requested..
Direct Services with Community
1. Interact with community for welfare of students.
2. Communicate with physician and agencies when necessary.
Case Study Functions
1. Attend staffings when appropriate.
2. Attend team meetings when appropriate.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications : Qualified candidates must have a valid Illinois nursing license and CPR certification. Pediatric, ICU or ER experience preferred.
Rate of pay : Salary is commensurate with experience.
