FYZICAL Castle Rock *is currently seeking a full-time Pediatric Physical Therapist at our Castle Rock, CO, location to treat a diverse caseload of children and adolescents, birth-21 years of age.

At our family owned practice, you will only see 1 patient at a time, NO double booking! We are looking for an enthusiastic therapist who is passionate about working with children and their families in the outpatient setting.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with children who have neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, traumatic brain injuries, and other developmental disorders, as well as those with genetic or acquired conditions like muscular dystrophy and Down syndrome.

You'll provide tailored plans of care designed to enhance motor function, improve balance and coordination, and promote overall physical development.

Your expertise will also be instrumental in treating children with developmental delays, helping them achieve key motor milestones and supporting their physical developement.

We offer specialized pediatric pelvic floor therapy for conditions such as incontinence and constipation, and you’ll play a key role in providing these essential services.

Additionally, you’ll work with young athletes and children recovering from orthopedic and sports injuries, helping them regain strength, flexibility, and confidence to return to their daily activities and sports.

You will also have an opportunity to treat in our in-house aquatic therapy pool . This program offers a unique and effective therapeutic environment, allowing you to utilize water-based techniques to enhance your patients’ progress.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provides patient care in accordance with established protocols and patient care guidelines.
  • Responsible for a firm understanding and the implementation of our behavioral model (ARC) at all times while practicing.
  • Responsible for timely documentation, including but not limited to daily notes, weekly workers compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
  • Responsible for documenting in a compliant fashion that is in accordance with company policy and state & federal guidelines.
  • Responsible for assuring that patients are treated promptly in accordance with their scheduled appointments.
  • Responsible for conveying to patients the importance of complying with established plans of care, including home exercise programs and minimizing cancellations and no show of appointments.

This is tracked independently with the expectation of achieving at 80% appointment kept rate.

  • Responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care.
  • Responsible for the delegation of appropriate patient care activities to the physical therapist assistant that are in accordance with that employee’s skill level and deemed appropriate by the state practice act.
  • Responsible for the supervision of aforementioned physical therapist assistant activities.
  • Consults with referring physicians as needed through documentation and as well as verbally.
  • Responsible for pursuing continuing education in the form of formal classes, reading of periodicals and other literature.
  • Responsible for always maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct that best represents the company.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for abiding by the company’s values statement and social contract.
  • Reviews Physician’s referral (Prescription) and patient’s condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
  • Tests and measures patient’s strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
  • Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
  • Administers manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
  • Instructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Administers treatment involving application of physical agents.
  • Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit.
