• Location : Highland Park Hospital
• Full Time / Part Time : part-time
• Hours : 32 hours; night shift; Monday-Sunday, 11pm to 7 : 30am; some holidays; rotating weekends
• Required Travel : N / A

What you will need :

• License : N / A
• Education : Bachelor's Degree-Human Services. Associate's degree with three years' inpatient psychiatric experience
• Certification : CPR
• Experience : With human services such as inpatient psychiatry or direct patient care preferred
• Skills : Interpersonal skills, knowledge of psychiatric terminology & theory, empathy

What you will do :

• Mental Health Counselor is a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Acts as a partner with an accountable nurse to serve as either a primary or associate caregiver to assigned patients for the extent of the hospital stay.
• The counselor collaborates with the professional nurse and multi-disciplinary team members to provide holistic, individualized patient care and therapeutic milieu management.
