- TICU RN position available.
- Department : Trauma ICU.
of Beds : 18.
- Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 1-2 ICU, 1 : 4 PCU.
- Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Adults and Peds >
15 years old. Various Trauma injuries, Sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, cardiac arrest.
Job Requirements
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
- RNs required to titrate drips.
- Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmics.
- RNs need to be able to read and interpret tele monitors.
Schedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling : 0630-1830, 1830-0630, self-scheduling, managed by manager based on unit needs.
- Weekend Requirements : 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.
- Floating Requirements : All over to the inpatient units, excluding Maternity / NICU.
Unit Specific Information
- Nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit : Ratios? Duties : Yes- 1 : 18.
- RT Equipment : Nasal cannula to vents, RNs required to troubleshoot.
- Charge Nurse on each shift : Yes.
- Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit : No techs, Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry monitoring.
- Scrub Color / Dress Code : Navy Blue.
- How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 2 shifts.

- Fast paced unit with critically ill patients.
- Attributes that help a nurse be successful on this unit include critical thinking skills, personable, positive attitude, team player.
- Radius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
