Pharmacy Workflow Technician Trainee (Portland, OR)
The Pharmacy Workflow Technician Trainee is responsible for packaging and shipping prescription orders accurately and timely on a daily basis.
Once licensed as a pharmacy technician in the state of Oregon, the incumbent is responsible for picking and filling prescription orders accurately and timely on a daily basis along with additional, related duties.
Special requirement : To be qualified for this role you must be able and willing to initiate the licensure process within the first 30 days, and be licensed within 90 days, to become a Licensed Pharmacy Technician through the Board of Pharmacy.
This position is a full time on-site role based at our Pharmacy Warehouse near Gresham, OR. This position requires an average of 40 hours per week to work Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 am - 4 : 00 pm PT and a rotating Saturday from 6 : 30 am - 3 : 00 pm PT.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
NON-LICENSED RESPONSIBILITIES
Restock and clean stations
Prepare pharmacy for following day shift
Make boxes; assemble box carts
Package and ship orders
LICENSED RESPONSIBILTIES (upon receiving license by the end of 90 days)
Assist the pharmacist with the following :
Dispense daily orders in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures
Pull stock to fill and label prescription orders
Break down products from manufacturers’ packaging and repackage them to Vetsource’s approved packaging and quantity
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in weekly team meetings
Rotate between stations within pharmacy
Work occasional Saturday
WHAT YOU BRING
High School diploma or G.E.D.
Current Oregon pharmacy technician license / certification in good standing OR the ability and willingness to obtain such licensure within 90 days of hire
Ability to work and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Receptive to feedback
Must adhere to policies and procedures, be accountable and committed to continuous quality improvement
Sound problem solving skills; adaptable, thorough, and innovative
Ability to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Dispensing skills
Experience in warehouse fulfillment, assembly line work, pharmacy mail order operations, or as a pharmacy technician
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lifting and shelving items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Ability to work standing on pressurized concrete for long periods of time
Utilizing hand trucks, rolling carts, and other handling equipment
Ability to stand and work at a computer for long periods of time
Frequently standing, walking, scanning, and reaching
Occasionally carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending

Pay Range (US based applicants) :
Unlicensed Trainee (licensure required within 90 days) : $19.00 - $19.50 / hour
Licensed Technician : $20.00 - $21.00 / hour
Certified Technician : $21.00 - $22.75 / hour
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
