The company has a team of seasoned professionals with over 100 years of combined experience as public and private company CFOs, including diverse experience in SEC regulatory compliance and reporting, corporate finance, operations management, strategic planning, raising capital, managing, and improving cash flow, and handling regulatory and compliance projects.
The Role
This fast-growing accounting and consulting firm seeks Senior and Staff Accountants for its location in New York City. Very flexible with in-office hours and working from home. Traveling to clients nationally and internationally is possible but not required.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist clients with the following :
- Audit preparation and liaison with audit firms.
- Monthly financial closings.
- Assistance with accounting procedures.
- Assist or prepare financial statements, including disclosures for audit, review, and compilation engagements.
Education and Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree with a focus in accounting.
Essential Functions
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
Experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years of public accounting experience.
- Demonstrated analytical proficiency in data research and interpretation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- An understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
- Meets deadlines, prioritize appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
- Self-directed and self-motivated.
- Highly organized and efficient.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator.
