Overview

Senior Transportation Project Manager

Job Summary : Huitt-Zollars, Inc has full-time opportunity for a Senior Transportation Project Manager for our Houstonoffice with experience managing transportation projects and will be a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas .

This full-time role includes marketing, business development, client management, and project management for transportation agencies and clients and in and around Houston, TX and has opportunities to work on transportation projects for other HZ offices.

Location : Houston, TX

Employment Type : 40 FT Hours

Compensation Type : Salary

Registration(s) : Professional Engineer

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Conduct business development efforts for transportation and public works clients including TxDOT, HCTRA, local public works departments and some involvement with transit agencies (Houston Metro,
  • Serve as Project Manager and oversee operations for transportation projects
  • Develop, oversee, and monitor project activities including scope, budget, and schedule management
  • Mentor and management supporting staff for transportation projects
  • Participate in engineering organizations (., ACEC, ASCE and AASHTO)
  • Support company-wide transportation initiatives

Qualifications :

  • BS Degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer registered in state of Texas or ability to obtain a license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management scheduling and financial tools
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills
  • 15 plus years Transportation design experience
  • TxDOT Transportation Project Management experience
  • Proficient in OpenRoads and ProjectWise
  • Experience and relationships with TxDOT and other Houston region transit and transportation agencies
