As an off-price retailer we generate more than $9B in sales through our nationwide network of stores.
As our Project Manager you will beresponsible for managing capital projects such as Downsizes / Remodels, Vertical Transportation, Parking Lot, Roof, disaster rebuilds, and other major repairs.
The Project Manager (PM) will work closely with the VP of Facilities and the Capital Director of Facilities to identify projects, create schedules, prepare budgets, and manage execution and provide accurate financial reporting for all activities performed by project, to include weekly, monthly, and quarterly expense updates.
A Day in the Life
Evaluate project requests and develop accurate scope of work
Provide budgets / cost estimates for approval
Assign bidders and manage bid process, with Procurement support when warranted
Manage contractors / vendors throughout execution of project
Communicate with Stores and Field Management before, during and after projects to insure satisfaction
Conduct punch list walkthroughs on larger projects
Propose and implement process improvements
Develop and manage project budgets, and execute projects to ensure budgets are met
Manage change order process to minimize change orders
Provide weekly reports on budget vs. actual to VP Facilities and other Executives
Develop and maintain database of historical project costs for future budget considerations
You Come With
A Bachelor’s degree ore equivalent work experience
5 or more years of experience as a project or construction manager with knowledge of retail store architecture
Ability to review and understand architectural documents
MS Office Suite (Excel, Work, Outlook)
The following computer software a plus : Oracle, Lucernex, Smartsheet, Service Channel
Experience managing and tracking multiple projects simultaneously
Experience managing vendor bid process
Ability to travel up to 30%
