Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands-on training preparing a manager in training for a management position in another store or future location.

Essential Job Functions

• Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and team members involved, including delivery and installer service specialists, parts and merchandising specialists.
• Responsible for supervising work performed by all team members, working with district and store managers on recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging staff.
• Communicate team updates and store meetings to all team members.
• Train new team members and handle performance evaluations, including recommending pay increases.
• Assist in hiring processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and candidate evaluation.
• Support store safety compliance and training, monitoring safety expectations.
• Make sales calls with or without the store manager, possibly on a scheduled basis.
• Support store operations as assigned, including maintenance of delivery fleet and records.
• Learn to utilize electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll systems.
• Manage key components of gross profit, monitor customer returns, review price matches, and evaluate team productivity and financial dashboards.
