Project Manager - Conservation Partnerships Initiative
Lynker is seeking a talented Project Manager to coordinate, grow, and provide direct billable services to Lynker's Conservation Partnerships Initiative (CPI) partners.
This position primarily reports to Lynker's Business Operations Director, Ecosystem Science and Management Group - West Coast and Pacific Island Division.

This full-time role involves helping Lynker leverage our extensive internal capacity to assist and empower organizations to meet their needs in cost-effective, flexible, and tailored ways.
We term this "elastic capacity," and it differs greatly from consulting-as-usual.
The main focus of the CPI Project Manager will be to :
- Identify capacity-challenged non-profit organizations in need of Lynker technical and administrative support to achieve various meaningful coastal, marine, and terrestrial conservation objectives.
- Work with the Lynker team to address those needs.
Additional partners may include federal, state and local government agencies, and academia. The current focus of the CPI is the West Coast, Alaska, and U.
S. Pacific Islands. However, Lynker would like to expand the Initiative to all areas in which Lynker operates, in order to partner with, and therefore assist, many more organizations.
Duties of the Project Manager - Conservation Partnerships Initiative will include :
- Develop partnerships with Federal, state and local government agencies, academia, non-profits, and non-government agencies in pursuit of marine conservation, preservation, and stewardship activities and shared goals.
- Identify the most common needs of target organizations, which have in the past commonly included the following :
- Human resources resource recruitment, payroll, benefits, etc.
- General administrative assistance
- Proposal submission and post-award administration project planning and development
- Proposal writing and review
- Graphic design
- Web and social media design, implementation, hosting, and maintenance
- Subject matter expert strategic planning, mentoring, and mission alignment
- Networking and synergies with other organization with similar goals and objectives
- Develop / refine awareness materials and planning for Program growth.
- Provide billable services to CPI clients, including grant management and other types of financial / budgeting assistance.
- Recruit and manage employees hired by Lynker via services agreements with CPI partner organizations to provide day-to-day services to them.
- Represent Lynker and the CPI at outreach events, conferences, etc.
The Ideal Project Manager - Conservation Partnerships Initiative will have :
- B.S. degree or higher, from an accredited college or university with a major directly related to environmental science or conservation.
- Experience supporting Lynker's current and recent environmental non-profits in the U.S. West Coast or the U.S. Insular Pacific.
- Be physically located in the U.S. West Coast or the U.S. Insular Pacific.
- Experience working with Lynker's Ecosystem Science and Management Group - West Coast and Pacific Island Division management team.
- Physically located in Hawaii.
