Your day as a Direct Support Professional - Caregiver
As a Direct Support Professional at Wee Care Corp, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities.
Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with daily living skills and activities, offering person-centered care both in the individuals' home and within the community.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide respite care, offering a much-needed break to their family. Our habilitation program is designed to help individuals attain, retain, and enhance their everyday life skills, and as a direct support provider, you will focus on meeting their unique and individualized needs.

What matters most
To excel in the role of Direct Support Professional at Wee Care Corp, you must possess a variety of essential skills. This includes attending and obtaining certifications in Intro to DDD, Hab / Positive Behavior Support, CPR / First Aid, and Article 9.
You should be prepared to undergo additional training classes and hold or be willing to acquire a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
A self-starter mentality is crucial as you will be working independently in individuals' homes and the community.
Effective communication skills are key to maintaining regular contact with supervisors and team members. A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to support others in achieving their goals are essential traits.
Commitment to clocking in / out accurately, maintaining ongoing compliance, and providing habilitation and respite support to an individual with diverse needs is vital for success in this impactful role.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are :
- Must attend and receive certifications in Intro to DDD, Hab / Positive Behavior Support, CPR / First Aid, Article 9. Some additional training classes will be required.
- Must have or be able to obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Willing to work in individuals home and the community.
- Self Starter.
- Maintain regular communication.

- Willing to clock in / out.
- Willing to maintain ongoing compliance.
Individuals in need of support :
- 9 year old Male in need of Habilitation and Respite support
- 83rd Avenue and Cactus Rd.
- Willing to change diapers / briefs while working on potty training goal
- Must have or be willing to attend behavioral support training
- Utilizes an Aug Comm Device, signs and has limited verbal skills.
- Very active; enjoys activities such as climbing and jungle gym.
- Schedule is 3 : 30-6pm Monday through Friday
- Sundays 4 hours
- 17 year old Male in need of Habilitation support
- 79th Avenue and Thunderbird Rd.
- Flexible schedule
