JOB PROFILE : Senior Accountant

JOB LOCATION : Carrollton, TX

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

VIAPLUS is an 85 MUSD software company with over employees based in Carrollton, Texas, California, and with subsidiaries in Europe and India.

The accountant position will be responsible for the following duties listed below and under the supervision of our controller.

Other duties may be assigned. The order of the duties listed does not represent the importance and / or percentage of time dedicated to each duty.

Supervise all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable, prepare monthly client invoices as needed, prepare weekly payments run, review and analyze AP and AR aging balances.

Perform cash reconciliation on a weekly basis across all the subsidiaries, research any variance and recommend adjustment entry to Controller.

Perform General Ledger reconciliation at month end across all the subsidiaries and on consolidated entities. Recommend adjustment entry to Controller.

• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing : identify and prepare necessary accruals, reconcile open Purchase Orders, reconcile Prepaids, Deposits, Fixed Assets, and inter-company re-invoicing GL accounts
• Assist the Controller with annual financial audit

Assist the Controller with the Accounting software migration and enhancement process

• Follow and ensure company finance and accounting processes : purchase order process, approvals, payments, etc.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting principles
• Assist with maintaining and usage of the expense and travel system

Work closely with the various accounting teams (local and international) and be a proactive member of the Corporate Finance & Accounting department.

Accounts Payable Experience

GL Reconciliation experience

• Cash Management Experience
• NetSuite knowledge and experience (preferred), ability to work independently, under strict deadlines, and collaboratively with different levels of employees, management & and departments.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion properly
• Computer proficiency; MS, MS Excel (H / V / XLOOKUP, pivots and other formulas & features)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal communication, e-mail practices, and etiquette
• Must be able to multitask, problem-solve, and prioritize within a fast-paced environment
• Anticipatory thinking / thinking ahead

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

• Three to five years of experience in a similar position
• BA in accounting preferred
