The Cyber Security Engineer will use technical analysis and engineering skills to investigate and resolve information security issues.

The incumbent will be work with their Information Security and Technology partners to implement security enhancements to the WSFS information technology environment.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Use communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help prevent, detect, identify, and resolve cybersecurity issues and help drive the benefit of technology investments.
  • Plan, implement, manage, and upgrade security controls to protect the organization's data, systems, and networks.
  • Create comprehensive security documentation which articulates security issues, analysis, procedures, and remediation techniques.
  • Troubleshoot security and network problems.
  • Research emerging security threats and potential impact to the bank and our customers.
  • Help ensure that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls and assisting in reviewing, testing, and implementing security plans, products, and control techniques.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or five years related work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Information Technology or Information Security experience.
  • Relevant security certifications, such as Security +, CEH, CISSP are a plus. Azure certifications are a plus.
  • Must have an advanced knowledge of information security concepts.
  • Must have a broad understanding of security-related industry standards, frameworks, and regulations. Experience with NIST CSF is a plus.
  • Experience with one or more of the following technology areas is required : Azure technologies and security, network security concepts and operations (Cisco preferred), IAM security concepts and tools, or mobile device management and security (Intune preferred).
  • Experience in applying security principles as part of information technology projects is a plus.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity trends and the impact of emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking is required.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
