CTR Group is seeking a BUYER for our Ship Repair Client in the Bremerton, WA area. Immediate opening and urgently hiring!

Salary Range : $62,755.00 - $81,212.00 plus Excellent Benefits.

SUMMARY :

The Buyer will be responsible for procurement of quality material and services that meets specification requirements and will be delivered within schedule and budget requirements.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • B.A or B.S. degree in a related field, or AA / AS plus 2 years directly related experience, or 6 years directly related experience
  • Basic shipbuilding / ship repair process and materials requirements.
  • Pricing structures for commodity materials.
  • Commodity materials sources
  • Basic mathematical computation.
  • Basic accounting principles.
  • Inventory control methods.
  • Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and Export Management System (EMS) requirements.
  • Reading blueprints and ship’s drawings desirable.
  • Interpretation of technical documentation.
  • Negotiating skills.
  • Document preparation skills
  • Documentation of purchasing decisions.
  • Basic use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Personal workload and time organization.
  • Good business math and interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements : Must go on vessels.
