ob Title : Senior Network Engineer
Location : Remote (Must reside in Ohio)
Job Overview :
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a full-time, direct hire opportunity with our thriving customer. This is a remote position, but candidates must be based in Ohio and will have the opportunity to visit our Columbus HQ quarterly.
Please note that this position unfortunately does not have the ability to hire individuals on a foreign visa. The role involves managing and optimizing network infrastructure, including cloud environments like Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Oversee cloud network integrations with Microsoft Azure, ensuring seamless connectivity and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network architecture and scalability.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including VPNs and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead network-related projects and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with expertise in LAN / WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud networking.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) and network security.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and technologies.
