What You Will Do :

Hot Section Module Center is looking to hire a New Product Introduction (NPI) Coatings Manufacturing Engineer to support machining new parts in our Special Technologies business.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in a high technology, advanced program environment incorporating the latest manufacturing readiness assessment tools.

They will partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to evaluate the most efficient and cost-effective process design.

The ideal candidate will develop manufacturing process alternatives based on improved manufacturability and producibility.

Primary location in East Hartford CT and up to 20% travel may be required.

Responsibilities :

• Develop tooling, process parameters, and controls to create a capable and stable process
• Develop, test, and implement programs to machine hardware (milling, turning, grind, etc.)
• Create work instructions for development hardware
• Perform technology and process development tasks; including, first piece runs, measurement system analysis and capability assessments
• Implementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets

Qualifications You Must Have :

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science or other related Bachelors’ degree
• Experience in CNC machine programming
• 2+ years of engineering experience
• CAD experience is required.
• Must be a US Citizen due to Government Contracts

Qualifications We Prefer :

Proficiency in the application of continuous improvement tools : Process Certification, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, PFMEA, Six Sigma and / or Red-X

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
