Job Summary
We are seeking an Interventional Radiology Technician to join our team! 2 FTEs 5-days a week shifts vary based on department needs with weekend & weekday on-call requirements.
Duties
Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional
cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural
cases
The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist
proceduralist
The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and
interventional procedures
Strong communication skills using closed loop communication
The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up
procedural trays for case load
Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular
surgeons
Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra / PACs
system
Groin management post intervention
Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment
BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill
demonstration in basic life support measures
Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.)
This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to
operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
Skills
3-5 years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist
with NJ radiographic licensure.
Education
Required Education :
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Associate degree.
- Completion of accredited radiographic program.
Required Certifications & Licensure :
- NJ radiographic licensure.
- BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill
demonstration in basic life support measures.
- Current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT.
