As a Staff Product Designer, Design System, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our design system and language.
You will lead the charge in creating and maintaining robust design systems that ensure consistency, quality, and innovation across our product suite.
Your work will have a broad and meaningful impact, driving the success of our platforms through standardized design decisions.

We're seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help define our products from concept to deployment.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development of scalable, unified, and high-quality design systems, ensuring exceptional component, design craft, clear design rationales, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of our design systems, ensuring they are impactful and aligned with product and business goals.
- Collaborate closely with product designers and design system engineers to ensure alignment and quality between design and engineering teams.
- Maintain the design system component library and documentation, establishing it as the source of truth for our design language.
- Share your expertise to promote high-quality design, cross-functional collaboration, and systematic design thinking within the team.
- Establish and maintain a shared design system vision and roadmap.
- Act as a leader within our growing Product Design organization, sharing knowledge, mentoring on best practices, shaping our culture, and helping the team stay up to date on how today's high-performing design teams operate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Architecture, User Experience, Visual Communications, or other related field, with 7-9 years of professional experience, or Master's Degree in related field with 5-7 years of professional experience, or 10+ years of professional experience.
- Extensive experience in product design, with a focus on design systems.
- Proven track record of leading and evolving complex design systems.
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality design system work and interactive prototypes.
- Deep understanding of conventional design patterns and familiarity with industry-leading design systems such as Polaris, Carbon, and Primer.
- Ability to leverage the "superpowers" of design (visualization, rapid prototyping, pressure testing ideas early and often) to influence product and business direction.

Minimum Qualifications
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position :
- Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in UI / UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 4 years' experience in UI / UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
- Option 2 : 6 years' experience in UI / UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position :
- Design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate).
- Driving product development in a user experience area.
- Master's degree in UI / UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area.
- Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare).
- We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.
2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
