Production Engineering Coordinator

Wanco Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Engineering Coordinator with high energy, intelligence and drive, to support the value stream.

The coordinator is responsible for performing and coordinating actions and timelines for engineering changes, item master and BOM maintenance.

Key areas of accountability include engineering change requests, Sales order configuration, process and product implementation, as well as build out analysis

What you need to have :

One or more years working within an ERP system.

Analytical and mathematical capabilities to compile build-out plans to utilize for target dates.

Demonstrated data analysis experience including SQLs, custom reports, etc.

Willingness to make quick and thoughtful decisions on behalf of the business.

Effective relationship building skills.

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Strong organizational skills are a must

Duties and Responsibilities :

Support Engineering Change Request Process

Develop and calculate material burn downs. Utilize burn down dates as target release dates. Coordinate data and production change overs for final close of ECRs.

Coordinate production implementation

Pilot Builds

Rework and inventory transfers

PO and job Updates

Ensure all related paperwork and materials are current as well as properly filed / stored.

Maintain and update process workflow. Challenge steps and work to eliminate as much waste as possible in process

Develop Software and PCBA ECR release workflows

Cover CM overflow actions when needed

Run weekly meeting

• Support Software and PCBA release to production (Will have better idea after 1st change gate meeting)
• Plan, manage and coordinate resources to release engineering data to 3rd party service portal (Smart Equip)
• Plan, manage and coordinate resources to release engineering data to ERP system for Engineering Review Sales Orders
• EPDM champion
• Maintenance workflows, data cards, and Solidworks system files
• Coordinate updates to macro driven templates
• Support creation of custom reports through SQL and Intelliplex portals
• Validate production builds with floor personnel and coordinate resources to update documentation
• Support PET ticket overflow
• Support lean initiatives as assigned
• Support safety initiatives as assigned
• Coach / Train personnel outside of team on processes and best practices as needed
• Communicate with internal clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives

Physical Requirements :

Mobility to work in an office and factory setting including use of standard office equipment, such as, but not limited to a computer.

Comfortable working directly in a manufacturing facility and adhering to PPE requirements.

Reporting : This position reports to the Production Engineer Manager without direct reports.

Salary Range : $23-$36 per hour.
