How you will make an impact :
- Define, create and execute enterprise-level projects for the effective launch, management and execution of challenging and undefined programs, related trainings and projects intended to maximize product / procedural outcomes with cross-functional teams.
- Create and implement BU Sales Training Strategy and governance model ensuring compliance with all training and regulatory body standards in partnership with stakeholders.
- Ensure operational excellence in managing the work of US Sales Training and professional education areas within Surgical BU including financial budget responsibilities.
Oversee the professional development of the individuals on the team through coaching, educational / development resources, and general leadership.
Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department.
- Serve in an advisory role to management to provide direction and guidance to project teams to execute enterprise-level projects, initiatives and / or programs.
- Develop and own tactics (e.g., virtual symposiums, digital content) for large scale / complex / high visibility programs that support the strategy and access new training methodologies as incorporated into product launches as appropriate.
- Partner within medical affairs and Strategy in execution of activities for advisory board meetings.
- Identify and evaluate enterprise-level process improvements and / or course correction / alignment opportunities including evaluations of new systems and / or procedures.
- Maintain awareness and alignment with existing guidelines and regional practices and ensure training content aligns with contemporary standards as a subject matter expert.
- Lead in the strategic development and implementation of various training programs and tools for BU sales team and customer education and training.
Serve as the clinical and BU subject matter expert to develop training in support of sales team’s broad adoption of procedural and clinical best practices.
- Provide leadership for key initiatives in the development, execution and continual improvement of training programs including increase market understanding and educate on new therapies.
- Cultivate strong relationships with HCPs and internal key stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, GHER, medical affairs, clinical affairs, field training and executive teams) to prepare field on clinical and economic competitive challenges.
What you will need (Required) :
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 12 years related experience
- Demonstrated track record in people management
- Ability to travel up to 25%

- Master's Degree
- Experience working in a regulated industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
- Keep current on relevant therapeutic and medical device sales training areas to maintain current knowledge and gain new ideas relevant to training and education
- Related experience includes sales, marketing, healthcare industry or medical device industry
- Prior experience with instructional design and developing clinical / technical content preferred
- Prior successful experience as a trainer in clinical and / or sales role.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $199,000 to $282,000 (highly experienced).
