About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration : 13 to 18 weeks Shift : 6 : 45 AM - 7 : 15 PM Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2+ years License : Kentucky RN License Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have : - 2+ years of PCU experience Job Description : Provide compassionate and high-quality nursing care on a Mixed Acuity Med Surg, Tele, and PCU unit.
- Work collaboratively within a team of healthcare professionals.- Flexibility to float to any Med Surg or PCU unit as required.
- Manage patient care for a unit with 21 beds, handling patient ratios of 5-6 : 1.- Operate and manage equipment such as telemetry, IV pumps, SCDs, Alaris pumps, and lift equipment.
- Navigate the Cerner electronic medical record system efficiently.- Display a caring and team-oriented personality fit for an academic medical center offering advanced heart care treatment.
- Adhere to dress code requirements by wearing galaxy blue scrub tops and pants in galaxy blue or black.- Commit to working every third weekend, alongside two Mondays and two Fridays within a six-week cycle.
- Gain exposure to a facility accredited for numerous medical firsts and recognized for excellence in various specialties.
Note : Holiday work requires managerial approval; candidates will be requested to work two out of three major holidays.
