The Corporate Information Services Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Senior Project Management Analyst.
The Senior Project Management Analyst provides project management planning to the Information Services Team. Coaches and supports IS team members on UHS best practices and tools for project management that support organization’s ability to achieve strategic, financial and time-based goals.
Shares experience and expertise with other Project Management Office team members.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Serves as liaison between clinicians, facility, and corporate departments as appropriate.
- Serves as project manager or backup for assigned projects : runs meetings, manages agendas / minutes, tracks tasks, issues, and action items, escalates risks and issues as necessary, and drives projects to completion.
- Serves as a resource to project leads to assist in moving the project management culture forward.
- Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center Tickets.
- Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.
- Documents project progress using UHS selected project management toolsets.
- Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management.
- Provides on call after hours support as needed.
- Gathers data required for assigned projects.
- Assists with event planning and management for large project events.
- Travels to facilities as needed in support of project managements responsibilities some night and / or weekend coverage may be requested.
- Provides technical support and guidance to other team members as required.
- Participates in or leads project management training for team members.
- Provides administrative support of project management application (Brightwork).
- Maintains Service Excellence principles.
- Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.
Qualifications
Position Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 -8 years of experience in healthcare information technology or project management experience.
- Understanding of hospital workflow and operational processes within a department or interdepartmentally.
- Microsoft Office Proficient in Word, Power Point, Outlook, strong understanding of Excel and Visio.
- GotoWebinar meeting facilitation.
- Able to communicate clearly and respectfully with all levels at Corporate and with facility personnel.
- Strong customer focus and ability to set and manage client expectations.
- Experience leading projects, establishing consensus and moving forward to complete objectives.
- Knowledge of project management terms and tools, support methods and practices.
- Learns quickly, takes constructive feedback on performance, stays focused on the job with attention to detail and produces desired outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
- Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems and project management software.
Training : Ongoing training required to keep jobs skills current.
Travel Requirements : up to 40% domestic US travel (depending on projects).
