Position Summary : As a Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing the manufacturing / distribution process to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of products.

This position involves analyzing demand, managing inventory levels, and creating purchase orders to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs and maximizing resource utilization.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other relevant departments to gather information on product demand and sales forecasts.
  • Analyze historical sales data, upcoming sales changes, and market trends to make predictions for future demand.
  • Implement inventory control strategies to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in production planning and execution.
  • Issues purchase orders to key vendors.
  • Implement best practices to enhance overall production performance.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential production risks, such as supply chain disruptions or changes in customer demand.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unexpected issues and ensure minimal impact on production schedules.
  • Generate reports to track key performance indicators and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Develop meaningful partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Identify cost savings through research or product requirements.
  • Maintain ERP Master Data
  • Creates and submits all purchase orders to vendors based on demand analysis.

Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education / Experience :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Finance, economics, business, or related four-year degree preferred.

A minimum of four years previous experience in a similar role is desired.

Language Ability :

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.

Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Working knowledge of / Fluency in the English language (spoken and written).

Mathematical Ability :

Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability :

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expert skills in spreadsheets and word processor usage.
  • Adeptness at reviewing data and extracting meaningful performance indicators.
  • Knowledge of database software and order processing systems.
  • Previous experience using an ERP system is preferred.
