License : Current IN license, Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Certifications : BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred

Job Description :
- Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
- Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment; develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluate respiratory practices, administration of medications, and treatments based on patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and available community support programs.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes.
- Utilize critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Adheres to standard precautions, using personal protective equipment when required.
Additional Information :
- Covers a 20-bed ICU, Level 3 ER Trauma Center, and Level 1 Nursery.
- Respond to emergencies in all areas of the hospital.
- Assignments will vary from shifts to cover all hospital areas.
- Minimal weekend night coverage needed for vacation requests.
