Job Description
The City of Pueblo wants to hire you as a Tax Compliance Technician! As a Tax Compliance Technician, you’ll be responsible for enforcing the licensure, collection, and payment of city collected taxes from businesses and carry out a variety of tax delinquency collection processes.
You’ll conduct onsite visits to businesses to collect tax, educate taxpayers and promote compliance with the City Sales and Use Tax Code.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in general office work to include collections or billing or legal / compliance duties
- A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
- License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification
- During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license
