Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior System Administrator to join our team in the Fort Meade, MD .

This position is part of a team that provides engineering and Information Technology services to provision, manage, sustain, innovate, modernize, refresh, reengineer, and secure the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Management of IT system infrastructure and any processes related to those systems
• Providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client / server / storage / network devices
• Providing problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Configuration and management of Windows operating systems and installing / loading operating system software
• Administering and securing network switching and routing devices
• Managing and maintaining network security through the use of access controls and path management
• Implementing, troubleshooting IT systems.
• Performing daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Providing Tier 2 / Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
• Configuring and managing Windows operating systems and installing / loading operating system software.
• Implementing operating systems enhancements improving reliability and performance.
• Providing detailed analysis and feedback to customers.

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 10 years of experience
• OR in lieu of degree, 15 years of related experience.
• Experience with :
• Implementing, troubleshooting IT systems.
• Performing daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Providing Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
• Configuring and managing Windows operating systems and installing / loading operating system software.
• Implementing operating systems enhancements improving reliability and performance.
• Providing detailed analysis and feedback to customers

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with :
• Windows Operating System (Server & Desktop)
• Exchange / Active Directory
• Basic network administration (Cisco routers / switches)
• Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
• Working within a software development environment
• Agile methodology

Security Clearance Requirements :

Currently hold an active TS / SCI with polygraph

Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
